We warmly welcome our new academic staff members Dr Andrea Pavan and Dr Amanda Roberts.
Andrea Pavan has joined us as a Lecturer from the University of Regensburg, Institute for Experimental Psychology, where he worked as a post-doctoral fellow. Andrea’s research interests are in vision and visual neuroscience. He will contribute to the research skills teaching.
Amanda Roberts has joined us as a Reader. Amanda completed her first degree at University College London, before moving to Cardiff University to conduct her PhD in Behavioural Neuroscience. Amanda took up her first permanent full-time post at Kings College London, before moving to Queen Mary University, University of East London and then to Lincoln. Amanda will work with members of the school to head a new multi-disciplinary research centre focussed on understanding the psychological causes and effects of gambling, including addictive gambling, pathological gambling, risk taking behaviour, treatment programmes and the impact of new technologies such as betting smartphone apps. Amanda will be teaching on the MSc Forensic Psychology and BSc Psychology Programmes.
