Dr Emile van der Zee is the lead on a project to create a Children’s University here in Lincolnshire, supported by the University of Lincoln and many others.
According to Emile about 75 schools had expressed a positive interest in being part of a Lincolnshire Children’s University, local councils were on board and the University (of Lincoln!) would be supporting the project by appointing an intern to act a coordinator. Students will be helping out through the Lincoln Award Scheme, and the University provides rooms on campus for events, and there are plans to involve MA students in research.
This is an exciting development and we look forward to seeing Children’s University and graduations soon!
