Zamira Noh, first year PhD student in Psychology, bravely volunteered to present her research at the first PubhD event in Lincoln. PubhD is an exciting initiative to take science out of the university and into the public domain. And what better place than a public house? The challenge is to present research to a lay audience, using non-scientific language and making it accessible and exciting for everyone. Zamira presented on her PhD on ‘Bias of voting behaviour: endogenous and exogenous factors’, supervised by Drs Paul Goddard, Adrian Parke, Patrick Hylton and Karen Pfeffer.
Zamira found her pioneering experience of public engagement very enjoyable and will hopefully encourage others to follow suit!
