Have you been watching ‘Africa’ on the BBC? If so, you’ll have seen a stunning opening sequence of Barbary Macaques sheltering from a snow storm in Northern Africa. This is the Barbary Macaque field site established by Dr Bino Majolo near the Moroccan city of Azrou in 2008. The field site was visited by a film crew from the documentary series and the BBC’s visit to the Barbary Macaque Project also appears in the February issue of BBC Wildlife Magazine.
